Dear Gulfshore Ballet Student:
Gulfshore Ballet is pleased to offer need based classical ballet tuition scholarships to students who demonstrate financial need and commitment in their program of study. Gulfshore Ballet students in levels 3 and higher are eligible to apply for a need based scholarship by completing the enclosed application form and returning it to the school office no later than April 30, 2018. Please note that incomplete application packets will not be considered for scholarship.
Need based scholarships are given as partial rather than full. All applications will be accepted and considered by Gulfshore Ballet’s school director and financial committee. Applications that are received after the above due date and/or are incomplete will not be considered for the upcoming school year. Students who apply for a partial scholarship must be enrolled as a full-time student at Gulfshore Ballet.
Students who receive scholarship funds for their tuition must pay their $50 registration fee at the start of the school year, or upon joining the school. In addition, each production requires a $150 performance, rehearsal and costume fee. Please note that enrollment, performance, rehearsal and costume fees are separate from tuition. Scholarship dollars may not be used toward elective (jazz, tap, and/or master) classes.
Gulfshore Ballet Scholarship criteria includes:
• years of training with Gulfshore Ballet
• community service & volunteer efforts
• financial need
Applicants are advised that the scholarship will be awarded for the 2017/2018 school year at Gulfshore Ballet, and must be used for the full academic year, beginning August 14, 2017 through May 11, 2018.
Scholarship recipients will be notified by August 7, 2017. Once notified of a scholarship reward, your acceptance and understanding of the terms and conditions of the scholarship is due by August 14, 2017.
Thank you for your interest in Gulfshore Ballet. We look forward to an exciting and challenging year.
Lisa D. Tafel, Ed. D.
